Physical Layer Security Enhancement via Intelligent Omni-Surfaces and UAV-Friendly Jamming

Intelligent reflecting surfaces (IRS) are considered one of the prominent technologies to be adopted in 6G and beyond networks. However, main IRS limitations is restricting communication reflective dimension, which means that users located behind surface cannot benefit from it. In this paper, we make use intelligent omni-surfaces (IOS), as an alternative IRS, addition unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) achieve secure Internet-of-Things (IoT) system. Specifically, propose IOS-UAV assisted wherein access point (AP) tries send confidential information a legitimate IoT device presence eavesdropper. The UAV serves two fold; it acts friendly jammer trying degrade signal quality at eavesdropper source energy power up via simultaneous wireless transfer (SWIPT) address limited available We formulate average secrecy rate maximization problem, jointly optimizes AP transmission powers, trajectory, IOS phase shifts splitting factor. formulated problem non-convex, therefore exploit successive convex approximation (SCA) tackle issue. Simulation results show iterative SCA solution converges rapidly. Besides, proposed scheme outperforms traditional system without by gap 140% terms capacity.
